Key Facts The digital radio standard DAB uses OFDM modulation and is therefore very resistant against interference and fading. Audio signals of up to 12 radio stations can be multiplexed into one data stream and then transmitted on the same frequency. T-DMB is based on DAB and is extended by audio-visual contents. It can be used, for example, in mobile applications such as mobile TV on mobile phones (similar to DVB-H). The R&S® AMU-K53 option makes it possible to generate realtime test signals on physical level in line with the DAB/T-DMB standards. Furthermore, the option can use ETI files (ETI = ensemble transport interface) as data to transmit standard-compliant signals with real content. If those signals are transmitted to a DAB/T-DMB mobile phone, the useful data (e.g. a movie sequence) can be displayed on the mobile phone.
