Brief description Bluetooth® is a WPAN with low data rates combined with low power consumption. It is a spread spectrum frequency hopping system that works in the internationally available ISM bands at 2.4 GHz. Starting with Bluetooth® specification 2.0, the enhanced data rate (EDR) feature allows faster data transfer. In Bluetooth® specification 4.2, a low energy (LE) protocol was implemented, allowing simple data links to be build up. The R&S®SMBV-K60 option enables the R&S®SMBV100A to generate Bluetooth® signals in accordance with Bluetooth® specification 4.2 including enhanced data rate (EDR) and low energy (LE).
