Brief Description GSM is a TDMA standard for cellular mobile radio networks and is used worldwide. By using the R&S®SMW-K40 option, the R&S®SMW can generate both the transmitter signal of a base station and the transmitter signal of user equipment. The timeslots of each TDMA frame can be configured independently of each other in terms of level attenuation or burst types. Half-rate slots can be defined as well as multislots for HSCSD. The R&S®SMW-K40 option provides engineers with a solution for generating signals in accordance with the GSM/EDGE standard using MSK and 8PSK modulation. The option is in line with the GSM/EDGE specifications as defined in Release 98 of the 3GPP standard.''
